Vigan City Fiesta: Celebrating the Conversion of St. Paul Step into the cobblestone streets of Vigan City – the Philippines’ only UNESCO World Heritage-listed Spanish colonial town – during its grand fiesta honoring the Conversion of St. Paul, and you’ll find yourself transported through time. Held every January 25th, this annual celebration is more than just a religious event; it’s a vibrant showcase of Ilocano culture, history, and community spirit that brings together locals and visitors alike. What makes Rizal the embodiment of the Filipino spirit is his commitment to reform through peaceful means. Unlike revolutionaries who took up arms, he chose to fight oppression with pen and paper, believing that education and enlightenment were the true paths to liberation. H...

Additionally, I learned valuable communication skills when collaborating with diverse team members, realizing that active listening and clear articulation of ideas are key to fostering productive partnerships. I also discovered strengths I didn’t know I possessed, such as the ability to stay calm under pressure and find creative solutions when faced with unexpected hurdles. Alongside these gains came several problems and challenges that tested my resilience. One significant hurdle was balancing multiple responsibilities at once – juggling deadline...

Celebration of the Christmas Season in its Essence Christmas is more than just a date on the calendar or a series of festive activities – at its core, it is a time centered on love, connection, and hope. Across cultures and communities, including here in the Philippines where the season is celebrated with remarkable fervor, the true spirit of Christmas shines through in the way people come together to share blessings and show care for one another. It reminds us to pause from our daily routines and reflect on what matters most: the relationships we nurture and the values we hold dear.                                                                                                                   ...
